Low Poo

{ Wednesday, May 27, 2009 }
So i was doing some research for myself today and found this information in a post at naturallycurly.com  I'm an athlete so i need to shampoo my hair otherwise i find that it starts to stink and the conditioner builds up, but i do not use sulfates so as i was venturing through walgreens today i looked at a few products and came back to research some information on the products and i figured you lovely curlies may be interested as well.

Sooo here i have gathered some information on sulfactants that are actually good for your hair and wont damage it the way a regular sulfate would, so if you are out looking for a safe shampoo know that the following ingredients are ok

  • Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate
  • Cocamidopropyl Betaine
  • Sodium Caproyl Lactylate
  • Decyl Glucoside
  • Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine
  • Cocamide MIPA
  • Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate
  • Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate
  • Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate
  • Disodium Coco-Glucoside Tartrate
  • Sodium Lauryl Glucose Carboxylate
  • Lauryl Glucoside

Review: Lustrasilk Shea Butter Cholesterol

So i started off really liking this product considering the amazingly cheap price for 20 oz of conditioner, something that is definitely hard to come by these days!! As i have reached the end of the tub my final review is that i simply would not repurchase this product.  I found it is sloppy and my hair has become very dry and impossible to detangle.  Im not certain that the tangles are a result of the product, but i do know that the product did nothing to encourage the detangling process.  My hair simply didnt take to this product, but thats not to see it wont work for any of you.

Final Rating: 2 out of 10
